Coverage

EirRoute works in the Republic of Ireland only (the 26 counties). Northern Ireland isn't supported. Routes or stops outside the Republic of Ireland may not work.

Plans

  • Free: our own map, routing and eircode lookup, up to 10 stops per route.
  • EirRoute Plus: a one-time in-app purchase through Apple. No 10-stop limit, a Google map, and Google routes and stop search using your own Google key.

Label scanning is included where available on your plan.

Restore Purchases

EirRoute Plus is tied to your Apple ID. On a new or reset iPhone, sign in with the same Apple ID, open EirRoute, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases.

If Plus doesn't come back, check you're signed in to the App Store with the Apple ID you bought it with, then try again.

Refunds

Apple handles all EirRoute Plus payments, receipts and refunds. We can't issue App Store refunds ourselves. To ask for one:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
  2. Choose Request a refund, pick the reason, and select EirRoute Plus.

Apple decides refund requests under its own terms. Google charges for your own Google key are between you and Google; neither Apple nor we refund them.

Your Google key (EirRoute Plus)

The Google map in Plus doesn't need your key. Google routes and Google stop search do. To create one, follow Google's guide: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/routes/get-api-key

  • Enable the Routes API, Geocoding API and Places API, with billing set up in Google Cloud.
  • Restrict the key to the EirRoute iOS app and those APIs, and set a budget alert.
  • Google bills the key's owner directly for every route and search request.
  • Paste the key in EirRoute's Settings. It stays on your iPhone and is sent only to Google.

If Google routes or search stop working, check that your key isn't revoked, restricted, over quota or unpaid.

Deleting your data

EirRoute has no account with us. Your routes, stops, delivery details and history are stored on your iPhone.

  • Route history: open History and tap Clear all.
  • Google key: clear the key field in Settings, or use Log out in Settings, which removes it from this device. You can also revoke the key in Google Cloud.
  • Everything else: delete the EirRoute app. This removes its data from your iPhone. iOS may keep Keychain items such as your Google key after the app is deleted, so clear your key in the app first.
  • EirRoute Plus stays with your Apple ID and can be restored at any time.
  • Our servers don't keep your routes or label photos. To ask about anything else we hold, such as support emails, email us (see our Privacy Notice at orpyxis.com/eirroute/privacy).

Driving safety

Don't use the app while driving. Plan and edit routes before you set off. Maps and routes are guidance only; always follow the road, signs and the law.
